Our experience with Stephen and his RV was amazing for the 9 days we used it! This is also his personal RV and it's obvious he takes really good care of it. Brand new lithium batteries, new tires, lots of storage (in and out). We didn't have a single issue with the RV. We comfortably slept 3 adults and 2 kids. The kids LOVED hanging out in the bunk over the cab and the dining room table bed was surprisingly comfortable. We did a combination of boon docking and electric-only hookups. Fridge/freezer worked amazing. Hot water tank works on gas OR electric. We barely put a dent in the propane tank despite using it twice every day. We barely put a dent in the battery capacity when we were boon docking. This unit is SOLID on reliability. Pro Tips: -This RV is not so huge that it's difficult to park it. We were able to park it just about everywhere without any issues. -On your way back swing by the Chevron in Eagle River (11836 Old Glenn Hwy)....they have a free RV dump, propane, and gasoline. -The RV comes with just about everything you need but if there are additional items you want and you're heading north, then swing by the Goodwill in Wasilla....this provided us with all the additional little things we needed for our trip. -There's a Fred Meyer in Eagle River than can supply you with everything you need for your trip (groceries, fishing supplies, booze, camping supplies). If/when I return to Anchorage, I would definitely book this RV again.

Fun was so easy to work with and very communicative. Any time I had a question or issue I was able to get a response quickly. It was my first time ever being in an RV and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or service. I would definitely use their RV again in the future when I hope to visit Alaska again one day. Appreciate all their effort and ease during our trip!

Absolutely: many pet-friendly RV rental Alaska options welcome your four-legged family members. Filter by 'pet-friendly' on RVezy, and you'll see listings where pets are allowed, with details about pet rules or fees shown up front. What is RV delivery and how does it work in Alaska?

You don't have to drive the RV yourself: RV delivery in Alaska means your host can bring the RV right to your campground, trailhead, or even your hotel parking lot. Many RVezy hosts offer delivery and setup service, so you'll arrive to a ready-to-camp RV. This is especially helpful for first-timers or those flying into Anchorage. Where are the best campgrounds to stay with your RV rental in Alaska?

Alaska is packed with unforgettable campgrounds for any RV camping Alaska experience. Try Riley Creek Campground at Denali National Park for epic mountain views, Seward Waterfront Park for oceanfront access, or Centennial Campground near Anchorage for convenience. Tip: Book major parks up to 6 months ahead for summer.

When is the best time for an Alaska RV trip?

For most, the best time to rent an RV in Alaska is June through mid-September, when days are long (up to 19 hours!), wildflowers bloom, and temperatures range from 55 to 75°F. How do I budget for fuel on my Alaska RV road trip?

Fueling up in Alaska is part of the adventure! Most Class C motorhome rental Alaska options average 8-12 MPG, while campervans can reach 15 MPG. Gas prices in Alaska tend to be 10-20% higher than the US average. For the 240-mile drive from Anchorage to Denali, plan for 3-5 hours driving and fill up in Wasilla or Talkeetna. Tip: Plan fuel stops early if heading toward Tok or Glennallen, where stations can be far apart.

When should I book campgrounds for my Alaska RV trip, and how?

To secure the best campgrounds near must-see spots like Denali or Seward, book your site at least 3-6 months in advance using the National Park Service or Alaska DNR's ReserveAmerica system. For smaller campgrounds or state parks, you may be able to get a spot closer to your trip, but summer weekends fill fast. Pro tip: For some first-come, first-served campgrounds, arriving before noon gives you the best shot at a site.

Are Alaska roads safe and what should I know about driving conditions?

Alaskan roads are safe and well maintained, but keep in mind that weather, wildlife, and construction are part of the adventure. Summer brings more RVs and roadwork, while gravel patches and frost heaves are common on highways like the Tok Cutoff. Watch for moose, especially at dawn and dusk. Before any long drive, check 511.alaska.gov for updated road conditions, a quick glance can save hours. Slow down, enjoy the epic scenery, and you'll have a fantastic trip.

Alaska's campgrounds offer everything from basic forest sites to full hookup RV parks. Most state and national parks have picnic tables and fire rings but limited power and sewer hookups. Full-service sites like Golden Nugget RV Park in Anchorage or River's Edge Resort in Fairbanks offer electric, water, and dump stations on site. Public dump stations are also available at many gas stations and visitor centers, check local signage on arrival.

What amenities come with RV and campervan rentals in Alaska?
